Aberdeenshire Cup draw pairs Buckie Thistle and Formartine United in this year's competition - and they meet in last season's semi-final tonight

BUCKIE Thistle and Formartine United will meet twice in the Aberdeenshire Cup within the space of the fortnight, over two separate seasons.

The 2021-22 draw for the tournament has taken place, with Jags hosting United in the first round on July 27 or 28.

But tonight the sides clash at North Lodge Park to decide who progresses to the final of the 2020-21 competition, which wasn't completed last term because of Covid.

Keith and Fraserburgh play the other semi from last season on Sunday at Kynoch Park.

This season's draw has also handed Keith a tough trip to top junior side Banks o' Dee in round one.

Deveronvale received a bye to the last eight and will host the winners of the all-junior tie between Dyce - who beat Vale in the cup last year - and Hermes.

Huntly visit the winners of the Buckie v Formartine clash.

Dyce v Hermes

Banks O’Dee v Keith

Quarter-finals:

Banks O’ Dee or Keith v Turriff United or Inverurie Locos

Buckie Thistle or Formartine United v Huntly

Deveronvale v Dyce or Hermes

Fraserburgh v Aberdeen University

Semi-finals:

Buckie Thistle or Formartine or Huntly v Deveronvale or Dyce or Hermes

Fraserburgh or Aberdeen University v Banks O’ Dee or Keith or Turriff United or Inverurie Locos
