BUCKIE Ladies gave Inverness Caley a scare when they headed to the Highland capital on Sunday.

Buckie Ladies manager Mel Smith: Team deserved at least a point.

A Steph Greenlees double, a first strike for 15-year-old Beth McMillan and a goal from Becca McMillan were not enough to win the day, the hosts prevailing 6-4 thanks to a last minute free kick.

Buckie manager Mel Smith said: "It was a far better performance than last week's against Caley.

"We lost it to a couple of silly goals – there's things we need to work on individually in training – but we played some of the best football we've done all season.

"It was great to see Beth getting her first goal and she deserved her player-of-the-match award."

This Sunday will see Buckie face Kirkwall City in their final game of the season – visit the club Facebook page for match details.
