Kilmarnock goalkeeper Aidan Glavin loved being part of Europa League and Conference League ties at Bruges and FC Copenhagen and manager Derek McInnes told him to enjoy himself in Elgin City loan spell

Elgin City’s new loan goalkeeper has had a taste of European football and is eager to get more of it.

Kilmarnock keeper Aidan Glavin made his City debut in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Bonnyrigg Rose.

The 19-year-old had little to do up to picking the ball out of the net for Rose’s 70th minute opener, before two late goals rescued a win for the Moray side.

Glavin spoke in his video interview about what Killie boss Derek McInnes told him to do at Elgin in his loan until January.

The keeper will travel up with Rugby Park team-mate Kian Leslie, who also made his debut on Saturday as an Elgin sub and set up Olly McDonald’s equaliser.

Glavin also spoke about being part of Kilmarnock’s European adventure this season, as he was on the bench for the Europa League match against Bruges and UEFA Conference League visit to Copenhagen.
