Delgatie Castle Fishery was back in action over the weekend.

The fishery has put in place some temporary restrictions in place to observe social distancing and keeping customers safe.

These restrictions have be cordially observed by fishers over the weekend and do not seem to have affected their enjoyment of getting back on the water.

The fish have been readily taking dries and buzzers and are feeding on or just beneath the surface despite the hot, bright conditions.

The catches varied with some catching into double figures and inevitably some blanking.

This lead to a lot of fish over 8lb being caught, and even the smaller fish giving good fights after not seeing a fly since the end of March.

Due to the current social conditions it is advisable to call ahead to make sure there is space available.

Fishing from the bank and boats are available.

Andrew Lockhart turned up with his float tube, now that's a way to keep the two metre distancing and thanks were given to returning customers and the regulars that attended.
