Aberdeenshire Council has introduced a booking system for tennis courts.
Aberdeenshire Council has introduced a booking system for tennis courts.

Courts are available to book right now in Banff, Alford, Huntly, Laurencekirk, Newtonhill, Portlethen, Oldmeldrum and Tarves, with more courts expected to be added soon.

To manage the expected demand for the courts after weeks of restrictions, a new online booking system has been introduced.

Players will have to register and book a one-hour time slot before using their court of choice.

Play is limited to 50 minutes to avoid crossover between players entering and leaving courts.

Racquets and balls will have to be brought by the players and Government guidance on social distancing must be observed at all times.

This includes (but is not limited to): A maximum of two people per court (unless doubles pairs are both from the same household), only handling your own racket and personal (marked) tennis balls and avoiding changing ends or changing ends at opposite sides of the net.

You should not play if you are self-isolating and follow public health guidelines for hygiene.
