Moray police search sees woman arrested after drugs and money found in property





A 48-year-old woman has appeared in court after police found heroin, cannabis and cash within a property in a seaside village.

Sarah Davidson appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court on two charges of being concerned in the supply of drugs.

She made no plea, was committed for further examination and released on bail to reappear at a future date.

Police confirmed they searched a property on Crown Street in Portgordon, while acting under warrant, at around 10am on Sunday, October 5.

Officers recovered a “quantity of heroin and cannabis”, worth an estimated £11,000 and a four-figure sum of cash.

"This recovery continues to highlight our commitment to disrupting drug-related crime in our community,” Detective Constable Abbey Emmett said.

"It also reflects our ongoing work in support of the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country's Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
