Wear your face covering in shops from today

FACE coverings are mandatory from today in all shops.

Unless people have a medical reason why they cannot wear a face covering, you must wear them when inside a shop from now on.

They have been mandatory on public transport for the last few weeks.

Shops have been gearing up to make shopping as safe as possible, with protective screens, safe distancing and hand sanitizer.

The risk of transmission of Covid-19 is greater indoors, so this move is seen as a step to continue to keep on top of the potential spread of coronavirus.
