The Blast From The Past motoring festival returned to the Thainstone Centre on Saturday.

A huge variety of vehicles from across the decades were on display for visitors to have a look at.

Theses included classic, rare, modified, restored and unique cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles.

The event's special guest was Sarah Crabtree of Evoke Classics and formally a star of the hit TV series Bangers and Cash.

There was also live action with an auto test competition against the clock; parade laps of the interesting vehicles on display and rally car and drift car driving exhibitions.

A video of the drift car exhibition can be viewed below:

People were able to purchase a classic vehicle during the auction.

Live music was provided by bands Rockatansky and Double Jack; there were trade and craft stalls and plenty of activities for children and family entertainment.

The event is also a fundraiser and supports local charities in the north-east.
