Aberdeenshire residents are now being given the opportunity to make two bookings within seven days to access Household Recycling Centres (HRCs).

Residents can now visit HWRC sites twice a week.
Residents can now visit HWRC sites twice a week.

Following the success of the online booking system for facilities, the twice-weekly trips for cars, pick-ups and car-derived vans carrying bagged general waste and garden waste have been introduced to further increase household access to an HRC.

You can make your booking at www.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/recyclingcentrebookings.

For those who do not have access to a computer, telephone booking can be made by calling Aberdeenshire Council’s Wasteline on 03456 081207.

More details on the next phase of the easing of restrictions – including the acceptance of additional materials and vehicle access will be made in the next few days.

The rules on physical-distancing remain and only one adult should unload a vehicle unless two adults are needed for heavy items.

Staff will be unable to assist with any unloading, there will be no pedestrian access and no children will be permitted outside vehicles.
