Warning over north-east driving conditions as heavy rain continues

Police Scotland have warned drivers over dangerous surface water and flooding on the north-east's roads as heavy rain is expected to continue into the early hours of Monday

There are numerous reports of roads affected by surface water and police are advising drivers to stay safe if they have to travel and drive according to road conditions.

Current known issues include -

Ellon Road, north of the old AECC in Aberdeen City (surface water).

Keithhall Road in Inverurie (flooded).

Osprey Village turning off Oldmeldrum Road in Inverurie (flooding)

Tyrebagger to Westhill road (flooding)

Crathes to Drumoak (flooding).

A947 south of Oldmeldrum at the Ellon turning - earlier accident which is passable and surface water.

A950 between Peterhead and Longside (flooding).
