Highland dancers from around the world are being called upon for the second Aberdeenshire League virtual flash mob.

The group of north-east dance teachers organised the fun event last month as a way to bring dancers together while everyone is at home and unable to come together for classes, displays and competitions.

They were overwhelmed with the response, with more than 600 dancers from across the world submitting videos of them dancing either a highland fling or pas de basques.

On Saturday (April 25) at 3pm dancers are being encouraged to dawn their dancing shoes once more to do either a jig or a hornpipe.

Dancers can use any steps that they want and videos and photographs can be uploaded to the designated post on Aberdeenshire League's Facebook page.
