Gardenstown seawall damage will be repaired by Aberdeenshire Council





The damaged seawall at Gardenstown is set to be repaired by Aberdeenshire Council.

A spokesman for the local authority said: “Aberdeenshire Council will be undertaking emergency repairs to three voids within the seawall at Gardenstown in the coming days.

“This will involve construction of shuttering with a back-filling with concrete.

“Teams will be on-site from Monday (November 25). It is anticipated that the work will take approximately two weeks, but this is entirely weather-dependent.

“It is important to stress that these discretionary repair works are being undertaken while the council continues to identify the owner/s of the seawall as they do have responsibilities and liability for all future repairs or maintenance.

“A letter is being sent to householders with further information about the works.”
