Fordyce main road to close for water supply work





One of the main roads into Fordyce will close for eight days to allow work on the water supply to be carried out.

The closure of East Church Street will commence from Monday, February 24 for the essential work to be undertaken.

It will be closed from the entrance to the village to School Road.

An Aberdeenshire Council spokesperson said: “The formal diversion is via the C12L through The Square, Bridge Street and the Loan to the C24L near Cobo Cottage, C24L to A98 near Linkbraeheads, A98 to C14L near Bogton, C14L to C12L crossroads and C12L to Fordyce.

“Access will be provided for vehicles requiring access to immediate properties but this may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.”
