A spokesman for the council said: "Please be informed that the dive survey scheduled for tomorrow (Friday) at Deveron Bridge has been cancelled as it is not safe to carry out this work in current flow conditions.

"We will now replan the survey and will let the public know when a new date has been agreed.

"In the meantime we will closely monitor the bridge so that it can remain open in the interim."
