Update: A96 near Huntly reopens after serious crash





The A96 has now reopend to traffic in both directions to the east of Huntly after a serious road traffic accident involving three vehicles.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the incident around 5.30pm on Thursday, with the road remaining closed until just after midnight.

Police Scotland said a 54-year-old man was taken to hospital by air ambulance, with a 53-year-old man taken by road.
