Turriff United's ground at the Haughs was once again underwater this afternoon after heavy rain caused the burn which runs near the ground to burst its banks.

The club's ground suffered previous damage at the start of December when a similar incident occured.

This time the water levels are noted to be considerably higher with the entire pitch and the adjacent field underwater.

While the burn has for the most part contained an element of the fast flow, one section of the burn adjacent where the small road bridge crosses over it has water flowing out on both sides both before and after the bridge, feeding into the already rising waters.

Back in December efforts had been made to carry out repair works upstream of the area where two watercourses which run parallel had suffered a breach in the bank, however the volume of water has once again flooded out the Haughs in the same manner as the last incident with Turriff United's ground catching the majority of the water due to its position between the two water courses.
