Two Buckie area roads are set to be closed by roadworks
Two local roads are set to close over the next few days due to roadworks.
Cliff Terrace and Church Street at the gable end of 27 Pulteney Street in Portknockie is set to be closed from August 29 to September 6 in order for Scottish Water to repair a damaged sewer.
A diversion will be in place via Cliff Terrace, Pulteney Street, Hill Street and Church Street.
Sutherland Street in Buckie outside No 7 is scheduled to reopen in the middle of the week after Scottish Water conducted repairs to a leaking mains pipe.
Work will be getting under way in a number of areas of Buckie to replace street lighting. Hendry Terrace, Scott Terrace and Baron Street to the Yardie are all set to see work begin between August 26 and September 3 for an estimated 25 working days.
Meanwhile, in Police Lane lights replacement is scheduled to finish by August 28.
Over in the St Peter’s Terrace area, the replacement work is also due to be complete by August 28.
Finally, the lighting columns in Cairnfield Crescent are due to be replaced by September 2.
Repairs to carriageway damage on McLaren’s Brae is also scheduled to be completed by September 2.
Outside 1 Stuart Street Scottish Water are due to begin lead renewal work at some point between August 26 and September 3. It is estimated to last five working days.
Finally, Scottish Gas Network should be finished undertaking a gas service alteration outside 30 Castle Street, Cullen, by September 4.
