Two hospitalised after Inverurie crash

Police have confirmed that two people, a van driver and a pedestrian have been taken to hospital in Aberdeen following a crash on High Street in Inverurie.

Emergency services were called to the scene next to the Banks of Ury hotel at around 5.40pm.

The road was closed while crews from Scottish Fire and Rescue made the scene safe and an investigation was carried out.

A police spokesperson said: "Two men, the driver and the pedestrian have been take to hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service."

The road remains closed with diversions in place in the town centre.
