Train line between Aberdeen and Inverness closed after trespassers witnessed on the rail tracks near Elgin, ScotRail says

Trains will be delayed between Inverness and Aberdeen this afternoon, after trespassers were seen on the train line.

ScotRail said it had seen trespassers between Elgin and Keith and have had to close the line to keep people safe.

The rail operator said all services between the cities will now be delayed.

A ScotRail spokeswoman said: "Due to trespassers on the railway between Elgin and Keith all lines are closed.

" Our services between Aberdeen and Inverness will be delayed."
