Traffic restrictions around Moray for Remembrance Sunday

Numerous roads across Moray will be closed to ensure safety as people pay their respects on Remembrance Sunday.

Services and parades will be taking place at numerous locations across the region on Sunday, November 14.

The council has so far issued several notices regarding the various traffic restrictions that will be in force.

Burghead

The following roads will be closed from 10.45-11.15pm:

  • Granary Road at the War Memorial
  • Grant Street between the junction with Granary Road and Park Street
  • Park Street at its junction with Grant Street.

Dufftown

The following roads will be closed from noon-1pm:

  • The Square.
  • Balvenie Street to the War Memorial.
  • Station Road at the War Memorial.

Forres

The following roads will be closed from noon-1pm:

  • High Street from the junction with South Street to the junction with Bridge Street.
  • Bridge Street to its junction with St Catherines Road.
  • St Catherines Road to the War Memorial.
  • Tolbooth Street from its junction with High Street to the roundabout.

In addition, parking will not be allowed during the same hour in front of St Leonard's Church.

Garmouth

The section of High Street around the War Memorial will be from 10.50am-11.50am.

Keith

The following roads will be closed from 3pm-4pm:

  • Balloch Road from the British Legion to the Tesco access road.
  • Land Street from the A96 Church Road junction to the Union Street junction.

Lhanbryde

St Andrews Road will closed from 12.15pm-12.45pm at its junction with Station Road.
