Maintenance will get under way next week on the bridges that span the A9 on the west of Inverness.
The project is scheduled to start on Monday and continue for three weeks until December 2.
No work is programmed for Saturday or Sunday nights.
There will be phased overnight closures of the northbound and southbound carriageways with signed diversions.
Eddie Ross from BEAR Scotland said: "This essential project will allow our teams to safely replace the bridge joints on the A9 Raigmore Interchange overbridges, ensuring they remain safe in operation for years to come.
"The overnight road closures are essential, ensuring the safety of our workforce as well as motorists.
"We’ve taken steps to minimise disruption to motorists as much as possible by phasing the closures of each carriageway.
"We’ve also programmed the works to take place overnight and have avoided weekend working.
"Our teams will do all they can to complete the project as quickly and safely as possible and we thank road users for their patience in advance while we carry out these works.
"We would also encourage motorists to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up to date travel information and allow some extra time to reach their destination."
