Crews from Scottish Fire and Rescue battled through the evening to bring the extensive fire under control, but were unable to save the building which was formerly used as a community hall but which has sat derelict and undeveloped for several years since the former hospital site was redeveloped into housing.

The 18-year-old will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal and the two boys will be reported to the Youth Justice Management Unit.
