Three new coronavirus cases take Moray total over 100

THREE new confirmed cases of coronavirus in Moray have taken the total since the outbreak began to 101.
All three cases have been confirmed since last Wednesday, with the positive tests taking place on Sunday August 16, Monday August 17 and Wednesday August 19.
No cases have been confirmed since, but test results can take a number of days to come through.
As mentioned in last week's update, the death toll for Moray will now be updated on a monthly basis – with the next update coming on September 16. A total of 20 Moray residents have died and had coronavirus mentioned on their death certificate.
A total of 7317 coronavirus tests have been taken by Moray residents since the outbreak began, with 101 now positive and 7216 negative. That is a rise of 424 tests taken since last week's update.
In Moray, 13 people who have tested positive have died within 28 days.
Across Grampian, 49 cases have been confirmed since last Wednesday. The NHS Grampian health board has now confirmed 1910 cases of coronavirus overall.
Scotland-wide update
The Scottish Government today confirmed the country's first coronavirus-related deaths, in a daily update, for 40 days.
The government's daily update only includes the deaths of people who test positive for the virus and die within 28 days. The number of people have died within 28 days of testing positive for coronavirus is 2494.
As of August 23, there have been a total of 4222 deaths registered across Scotland where coronavirus was mentioned on the death certificate.
Six of these deaths came between August 17 and August 23, an increase of three from the previous week.
In total, 494,684 people have been tested in Scotland. Of these, 474,696 were confirmed negative with 19,988 positive.
Two people were in intensive care last night with confirmed covid-19, with 249 in hospital.
