It is now inviting applications for grant awards to be decided at its meeting at the end of April.

The Trustees normally distribute grants for sums between £500 and £2000 to a total of £15-20,000 per annum.

Grants are given to organisations operating in the former Grampian Region of Scotland (Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Kincardineshire, Banffshire and Morayshire) whose aims are:

To promote and advance music, drama and the arts.

To promote and encourage charitable youth activities.

To promote and maintain Christian ecumenical services.

To help maintain community centres.

Grants are not made to individuals, but small organisations are very welcome to apply.

Since 1975, the David Gordon Memorial Trust, set up in memory of David Gordon, 4th Marquess of Aberdeen and Temair, has been working to continue David’s lifelong interest, shared by his wife, June, in supporting music, the arts, youth groups and community centres and in continuing ecumenical services in the chapel of Haddo House.

June Gordon died in 2009 and the Trust was renamed The David and June Gordon Memorial Trust.

In her memory the Trust undertook an appeal to increase its resources and welcomes further donations in order to enable it to provide greater support to local groups and organisations.
