SBP Accountants and Business Advisers, which has a Banff base, appoints new audit manager
An accountancy firm has strengthened its team by appointing a new audit manager.
SBP Accountants and Business Advisers (SBP), which has offices in Banff, Peterhead, Fraserburgh and Aberdeen, has announced Peter Manson has taken on the role.
He will assist with the growth and development of the firm’s audit team, enhancing SBP’s service offerings following a successful 2024.
Mr Manson is a dual-qualified accountant with more than six years of experience in practice.
His expertise spans audit, year-end accounts preparation, consolidated accounts preparation, group accounts, corporation tax, personal tax and VAT.
The firm said his diverse background and comprehensive knowledge make him a valuable addition to the SBP team.
In 2018, he was recognised as the best final-year student in the Accountancy and Finance BA (Hons) degree course at Aberdeen’s Robert Gordon University, graduating with first-class honours.
His appointment comes after a successful 2024 for SBP, marked by 11 company-wide promotions, including the advancement of two employees to director positions.
The company said this focus on internal talent development and strategic leadership appointments underscores its commitment to excellence and its optimistic outlook for the future.
John Hannah, managing partner at SBP, said: “We are delighted to welcome Peter to our growing audit team.
“His extensive experience and proven track record in audit and taxation align perfectly with our strategic goals.
“We are confident that Peter will add real value to our audit and taxation teams.”
Mr Manson said: “I am honoured to join SBP and look forward to contributing to the firm’s continued success.
“Together, we will work towards expanding our audit services and delivering exceptional value to our clients.”
