Huntly ‘disturbance’ sees taser used after 15-year-old assaulted two police officers





A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after assaulting two police officers during a “disturbance” that saw a taser used.

A woman aged 35 has been arrested and charged in connection with the same incident, which took place in Huntly on Wednesday, September 4.

Two police officers attended a property on the town’s Christie Court at around 3.15pm in relation to an “ongoing enquiry”.

“A disturbance occurred and a 15-year-old boy assaulted two male officers,” a Police Scotland spokesperson said.

“The 15-year-old was arrested and charged in connection and a report will be sent to the relevant authority.

“The officers did not require medical treatment.

“A 35-year-old woman was also arrested and charged in connection and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”

Due to the a taser being discharged, the incident has been referred for investigation.

A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “A Taser was discharged during this incident.

“As part of standard procedure, the circumstances of the incident were referred to the Police Investigations and Review Commissioner.”
