T-URRA in the Park festival set to take over the Haughs for two weekends of entertainment

A TWO weekend long festival is set to bring music and entertainment to the north-east as Turriff gets set to host T-URRA in the Park.

Organised by events firm AJF Events in association with Turriff Football Club and Bounty Competitions events start on Friday, April 22 and run through to Sunday May 1.

Headlining the opening night on Friday, April 22 are Majesty - A Tribute to Queen, one of the most popular tribute acts to the band who have been performing for over 10 years and are lead by Rob Lea as Freddie Mercury in a recreation and personal interpretation of the live acts for which the band were renowned.

Saturday, April 23 sees a Darts Exhibition and on Sunday, April 24 - Football stories with ex-pros welcomes well known names including Archie Knox, Colin Hendry, Willie Miller and Jim Craig, to an event hosted by Ally Begg.

Friday, April 29 will see the Haughs play host to a concert with Dave Finnegan's Commitments and Creedence Clearwater Revived.

On Saturday, April 30 a further night of music is in store with Eskimo Blonde. Toploader, Scouting for Girls, The Acrylics and Conrad Williams.

Rounding things off on Sunday, May 1 the Haughs hosts as scottish Concert with Cameron Barnes, Manran, Red Hot Chilli Pipers and The Fragz.

Tickets will be on sale for selected events from January 1 at www.ajfevents.co.uk
