Banff Art Club showcases work by members at summer exhibition
An art club has held a successful summer exhibition which showcased the work of members.
Banff Art Club hosted the event in the town’s church hall over four days.
The group has grown in popularity with membership increasing over the last year.
A club spokesperson said: “The standard of art displayed was truly exceptional and this was reflected in the sales of paintings which exceeded 60 again this year.
“It was a very busy four days with a huge amount of visitors coming in to view the art, have a chat with club members and a cup of tea or coffee. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming with a buzz of excitement in the air.
“The club would like to thank everyone that helped to make the event possible and so successful but special thanks to The Garret Home Furnishings for all their help moving heavy boards, Tesco for the lovely donations, Banff Parish Church of Scotland for the use of its hall, Banff Castle Community Centre for its continued support, Deveron FM and all the club members for their hard work behind the scenes. It couldn’t happen without the entire team.”
Keith Price was the winner of the Heather Slater Memorial Trophy as his painting “Pints and Perspectives” was voted the favourite by the public.
The annual exhibition will be back again next year during the third week in July.
