This magical event will offer two sessions at 2pm and 3pm, promising to delight audiences of all ages with a rich array of Scottish tales.

Pauline said: "I'm going to be telling tales of frustrating fairies, lucky loons and contumacious coos.”

Known for bringing a wide variety of stories to life, Pauline’s storytelling repertoire includes traditional Scottish folklore, fairy tales, creation myths and her own original works.

Her performances are further enriched by her passion for science, history and the environment, making them not only entertaining but also educational.

A celebrated storyteller with deep roots in the fishing and farming traditions of the north-east of Scotland, Pauline is known for her engaging and interactive style.

She often incorporates traditional Scots songs and bothy ballads into her performances, using music, puppets and costumes to create a dynamic storytelling experience that encourages audience participation and leaves a lasting impression.

A spokesperson for Banff Castle said: "It's going to be a wonderful interactive experience and we positively encourage our audience to come along dressed as their favourite fairy, wizard or witch."

Tickets for this family-friendly event are on sale now and can be purchased at https://tinyurl.com/2ud98z7e or at the door.

Meanwhile, have you ever wondered what that old painting, vase or piece of jewellery tucked away in your attic might be worth?

The castle is hosting a “What’s it Worth?” antiques valuation day on Sunday from 10am-4pm. The event offers the opportunity to have antiques and collectibles appraised by expert valuers.

A spokesperson for the castle said: “Knowing the value of your antiques is important for insurance purposes and this is a convenient way for people to get their prized possessions properly documented.

“In these challenging economic times, it’s also a chance to discover that some of these items could be worth more than you think, potentially providing a welcome source of income.”

Attendees are invited to bring up to three items for expert appraisal at the event. For £7, the valuers will assess the items, offer insights into their history and market value.

“To make the day as enjoyable as possible, we’ve introduced a timed ticketing system,” the spokesperson added.

“This is to reduce waiting times and ensure everyone has a smooth and pleasant experience.

“We encourage people to book their time slots in advance to avoid lengthy queues. They can do so at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/whats-it-worth-antiques-valuation-day-tickets-964555791337

Banff Castle is a charitable association run solely by volunteers for the benefit of the local community.
