THE Grampian Transport Museum is laying on a special treat for mums who visit on Mothering Sunday.

On arrival they will be welcomed with chocolates and from 2pm-4pm a range of classic and prestige cars will be on hand to chauffeur them around.

The museum's events coordinator Neil Thomson said: “We thought Mother’s Day was an excellent opportunity to give them their own treat.

“A number of our members will be bringing a range of their own classic cars, including an amazing 1960s original Ford Thunderbird.

"There is also a limited number of rides in the only Outspan Orange in private ownership."

The museum, which is sited 20 miles south of Huntly, is open from 10am, with rides from 2pm-4pm.
