While the weather initially cast some doubt on when it would take place, it ultimately played ball and it was time to let the fun begin.

Youngsters from across the school pitted their speed, balance and determination across a wide range of activities and challenges. These included tradition sports day activities such as the egg and spoon race and sack race alongside an intriguing - and hugely entertaining - obstacle course.

While there was competition aplenty, the event nevertheless was held in the best of spirits and a good day was had by all.
