Turriff And District Heritage Society put on a special exhibition at the weekend as part of The Queen's platinum jubilee celebrations.

As well as sharing interesting facts about her 70 year reign, the exhibition shared local residents memories of The Queen.

The exhibition boasted a range of stories and memorabilia, including newspapers covering the coronation.

There were also various recollections of garden party honours and, of course, the time The Queen visited Turriff Show.

On Saturday there was also an opportunity for visitors to see Turriff's beacon close up and have their photo taken with it.

Turriff Museum is open Thursday to Saturday between 11am and 3pm.
