Special delivery for Rothie Rovers

A long term plan to improve facilities at Rothie Rovers ground in the heart of Rothienorman took a step forward today with the installation of specially constructed seating for fans.

Created using containers, the two units were delivered by road and installed by crane at the south side of the pitch.

Chairman Brian Cormack said: "We would like to express our gratitude to both Barry Booth, Managing Director of Intellicore Ltd, and David Duncan, Managing Director at Harper UK who, along with a Foundation Scotland Gordonstown Windfarm Grant, have provided substantial backing to the Project and to Colin Lawson Transport Ltd and JK Crane Hire Aberdeen crane hire for their assistance.

"We are absolutely delighted to announce that our North Regional Cup Semi Final against Superleague side Montrose Roselea JFC on March 25 will be our official stand opening day.

"Fantastic Hospitality Packages are on offer with tickets priced at just £40 which will start at 12.30pm before the 2pm kick-off and for an hour afterwards.

"This is a significant milestone both on and off the park as we aim to reach one of the biggest finals in the North Juniors against a tough side.
