Six more cases of coronavirus confirmed in Moray as total reaches 112

SIX new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Moray in the last week, taking the total since the outbreak began to 112.
While all cases have been confirmed in the last seven days, the tests which returned positive results were taken on August 31, September 1 (x4) and September 3.
A total of 764 tests have been taken by Moray residents since last week's update, with 758 of those returning a negative result.
In total, 9307 coronavirus tests have been taken by Moray residents since the outbreak began, with 112 now positive and 9195 negative.
The next death toll update will come on September 16, with latest figures showing 20 Moray residents have died of covid-19.
Of those, 13 tested positive for coronavirus and died with 28 days – with the previous seven having covid-19 mentioned on their death certificate.
Across the area covered by the NHS Grampian health board, 49 cases have been confirmed since last Wednesday. This is a rise on the 32 confirmed the week prior.
NHS Grampian has now confirmed 1991 cases of coronavirus overall.
Scotland-wide update
The number of coronavirus-related deaths in Scotland is now 4228, with 2499 having tested positive and died within 28 days. Over the last week, 59,585 people were newly tested, with 1090 positive.
Last night, six people were in intensive care with confirmed covid-19, with 274 in hospital.
Since the outbreak began, a total of 653,440 people in Scotland have been tested, with 21,878 positive and 631,562 negative.
A total of 4259 patients who have tested positive for covid-19 have been released from hospital.
