Throughout Moray and Banffshire, there are people who will always do more – more to help loved ones, friends, a cause close to their heart, and more to support their community.

Moray & Banffshire Heroes 2022 aims to recognise and celebrate these very special individuals with two awards.

The community champion award will be presented to an individual who has made a significant contribution to their community.

The fundraiser of the year will be an individual who devotes his or her time and effort to raise funds for local charities or causes.

The community champion award is being sponsored by Lidl.

A spokesperson for Lidl said: “Lidl is very proud to sponsor the community champion award and be able to recognise the real unsung heroes of Moray. These are the people that go above and beyond to create a positive impact in the community that they live in and make it a better place for all.”

The award for fundraiser of the year is being sponsored by Morscot Utilities.

Director Paul Mulholland said: “We owe a lot to the dedication, energy and enthusiasm of fundraisers. They selflessly give their all to benefit a cause that they believe in, and this hard work in turn translates into real change. Sponsoring the fundraiser of the year gives us the opportunity to say thank you for all of the tireless work that fundraisers do.”
