The organisers of New Deer Show, due to take place in the summer, have confirmed that the show will once again not take place this year.

As uncertainty continues around the easing of coronavirus restrictions New Deer Show is the latest to fall victim to the virus for a second year in an endeavour to keep visitors and competitors safe.

Sharing the decision on social media, the organising committee said: "We are disappointed to announce that there will be no show in 2021 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

"We hope that we are able to bring you a show next year and our focus will now turn to planning a fantastic show for 2022."

It looks set to be another quiet summer in the north-east with many other popular events - including Turriff Show and Oldmeldrum Sports - having already announced their decision to cancel this year's events.
