It was open to former pupils and also teaching staff. As part of the reunion the past students got a tour of the school and raised funds to support it, collecting £1000.

The donation will help fund the health and wellbeing activities for S1-3 pupils.

North East Scotland MSP Liam Kerr tabled a motion in the Scottish Parliament to commend the fundraising done by the organising group.

Stewart McPherson from the group said: “We were delighted to learn that MSP Liam Kerr tabled a motion in parliament, to commend our school reunion group for the recent donation to Banff Academy, supporting its health and wellbeing activities day.

“Liam took time out of his busy schedule to present us with a copy of the motion certificate, and welcomed the opportunity to have a tour of the school at the same time.
