From Saturday, October 17 to Tuesday 20, the theme this year will be books for the crafty creations.

Entry forms will be sent out through the school at the end of the month or you can e-mail Dr. Kay Gauld for one on KGauld@churchofscotland.org.uk

The form and the entry fee of £3 can be popped through her door at The Manse.

If you don’t have e-mail, or messenger, please ‘phone her for an entry form on 01464 820404.

Bags of straw can be picked up from Dr. Kay’s garage the two weekends before the Festival.

Entry forms should be returned by Sunday, October 4 and there will be no late entries accepted this year as safety measures will be in place for photocopying the treasure hunts.

Those taking part in the treasure hunt will find a box at the bottom of the sheet in which you write their top three scarecrows for judging.

As Dr Kay noted: "Ellon and Chapelton have already had very successful Festivals this summer, so please help to make ours a Festival to cheer up everyone".
