Douglas Ross MP is gearing up for his surgery tour of the Buckie area next Friday.

Mr Ross said “On Monday, August 5 I started my summer surgery tour, which gives me an opportunity to meet constituents at almost 50 venues right across Moray, where I will be available to meet constituents face to face and listen to the issues that are of concern to them.

“I really enjoy this part of my job as it gives me another opportunity to meet constituents in their own communities.

“Being in London four days a week when parliament is sitting restricts the time I can get out and about in Moray so the summer recess is the ideal opportunity to visit every town and community and make myself available for local people to come along and discuss any issues they would like me to assist with.

“The dates, times and locations of these surgeries have been widely publicised and there’s no requirement to make an appointment. If a constituent has a burning issue, or indeed any ongoing situation or set of circumstances that they think I can assist with, then please come along and see me.”

Mr Ross's whistlestop tour will come to the Buckie area on Friday, August 16.

He will be stopping at the following locations: 9.30-10.15am Cullen Community Centre; 10.30am-11.15am Findochty Village Hall; 11.30am-12.15pm Portknockie, McBoyle Hall; 12.30pm-1.15pm Portessie, Public Hall; 1.30pm-2.15pm Buckie, Fishermen’s Hall; 2.30pm-3.15pm Portgordon Village Hall; 3.30pm-4.15pm Clochan Community Centre; 4.30pm-5.15pm Fochabers Institute.
