Road safety work set to be carried out on A96





Amey is delivering road safety improvements on the A96 at Bridge of Carden near the village of Oyne from Tuesday, July 9 to Sunday, July 28.

The work will install new vehicle safety barriers on the verges at Bridge of Carden, which carries the A96 over the Gadie Burn near the Oyne Fork for Insch/Inverness.

An Amey spokesman said: “To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists there will be 24 hour three-way temporary traffic lights in place throughout the works period.

“The improvements will benefit around 10,600 vehicles who use this route each day, improving road safety at this location and helping maintain the condition of the bridge.

“All schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.”
