Buckie area road closures set for Remembrance Sunday commemoration events
A number of local roads are to be shut next weekend to allow for Remembrance Sunday commemorations on November 9.
In Buckie, High Street, and East/West Church Streets are all due to shut for the remembrance service parade, which is scheduled to get under way around 10.30am.
Over at the Dallachy Strike Wing Memorial near Spey Bay, the B9104 will be closed at Bogmoor during the memorial service.
Up the road in Fochabers, traffic will be held on the High Street while the community pays its respects at the war memorial. Traffic will be held until the completion of the ceremony.
Still in Fochabers, Amey will begin work on the section of the bypass between the Spey Bay and Fochabers east roundabouts to undertake electrical repairs for three working days from November 5.
Openreach are at two sites this coming week in the Buckie area. They are due to begin excavation work both at Moray View Court, Portessie and outside 2 Raffan Road over November 4-5 for three working days.
Telecoms firm Vodafone are due to have completed work on the own’s High Street by the end of this week.
Also set to finish either by the end of this week or the start of the next is BT’s installation of a new cabinet near 1 Binview Terrace, Enzie.
Finally, over in Cullen, near 11 Seafield Street, Moray Council are due to being work by November 3 for to working days.
