Road between Macduff and Gardenstown to close for work
Road users are advised that owing to patching work, the B9031 road between Macduff and Gardenstown will be closed from the U85al to the U103L junctions for five days starting from Monday, July 8.
Access will be provided for vehicles requiring access to immediate properties but this may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.
An Aberdeenshire Council spokesman said: “Due to the requirement that a detour must divert to roads that are the same class as the one that is closed, the formal route is via the B9031 to C15S at Dubford, C15S to C16S near Mid Clochforbie, C16S to A98 at Fishrie Green, A98 to B9031 near Bloodymire and B9031 to U103L.
“We appreciate that working on roads can cause some inconvenience to users, but we would ask that you bear with us as we carry out these essential improvements.”
