Residents from three Moray care homes have been enjoying outdoor fun.
Parklands and Burnbank care homes in Buckie had a day out at Byers Farm in Fochabers where they picked sunflowers, savoured the home bakes in the farm shop and had bales of fun posing for pictures on giant haystacks.
Lisa Toogood, activities coordinator for Parklands and Burnbank care homes said: “The weather has been brilliant these past few weeks and, with Covid restrictions easing, it was a perfect opportunity to get out and about and enjoy what Moray has to offer. The residents had a great time.”
Meanwhile, residents from Glenisla care home in Keith dropped into Huntly Falconry Centre where they came face to face with owls, hawks, eagles and falcons, with residents Ian Ross and Cathy Jack among those brave enough to handle the birds of prey.
Emily Clair, activities coordinator at Glenisla, said: “It was a real treat to see these majestic birds of prey at such close range. They were really mild mannered but it took some nerve for our residents to handle them, and kudos to Ian and Cathy for stepping up.
"It was a great day out and a reminder that we are very lucky to have such a wide range of exciting outdoor activities in Moray.”
