Replacement bridge in Ellon opens for public use

This afternoon Aberdeenshire Council reopened the Meiklemill Footbridge in Ellon to the public, following the completion of the bridge installation works.

Some additional works are to be carried out over the coming weeks, and a small section of the carpark will remain fenced off to allow access for this work.

A spokesman for Aberdeenshire Council said; "We would like to thank the local community in Ellon for their patience and understanding during the works."
