The funds have enabled the organisation to completely revamp the cafe area, including new servery units and flooring, providing a welcoming and safe space for diners to enjoy.

Refurbishment works have extended beyond the anticipated finishing date, however the team at Fly Cup Catering are keen to advise that the cafe's doors will reopen as soon as is possible.

Fiona Allan, Trustee at Fly Cup Catering, commented: “We were delighted to secure funds to give our café a refresh during lockdown, however due to supply issues outwith our control, these works have extended beyond the initial anticipated finishing date.

"As a result, we have had to delay reopening the cafe, much to the disappointment of our loyal customers, who are eager to make a return following a long period of closure due to lockdown.

"However, as soon as we are able to, the cafe will reopen and we will be delighted to warmly welcome customers once again.

"We're really sorry to have to make everyone wait just a little longer before visiting us, but we promise it will be worth the wait!

"Thanks go to the staff and volunteer team who are working hard to support the refurbishment and getting works completed as soon as is possible”.

Meanwhile, the catering team are being kept busy with breakfast and lunchtime takeaways, available Monday to Friday 9am – 4pm, and full meal offerings available for collection or delivery on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
