Moray bus passengers urged to have their say on m.connect service changes

Proposed changes to Moray’s on demand bus service are to take centre stage at a number of local consultations.

Following the agreement of the expansion of m.connect services in Moray as part of the second phase of the Bus Revolution project, a number of drop-in engagement events will take place during February and March.

Locally these will take place in Keith (twice), Cullen (twice) and Buckie.

The Bus Revolution project is part of Moray’s £100 million Growth Deal initiative. The project is funded through £4 million from the Scottish Government and £300,000 from Moray Council.

Bus Revolution aims to improve public transport connectivity across Moray by providing additional public transport services to improve access and use of public transport. The engagement sessions will provide information on what the m.connect service has delivered to date; the changes being made to the m.connect network and why; and what services and provisions are being introduced in 2025.

Chairman of Moray Council’s Economic Development and Infrastructure Services Committee, Councillor Marc Macrae (Fochabers-Lhanbryde, Conservative), said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for Moray locals to find out more about the m.connect service and its phase two plans.

“This is an exciting time for the service and I’d encourage everyone to come along and feedback directly to the team.”

The m.connect team will be in Keith Community Centre on January 23 from 10am-1pm then again on March 12 at the same location and times.

February 7 and March 28 will be the turn of Cullen at the community centre from 10am-12.30pm and 10am-1pm respectively.

Buckie Library will host a drop-in session on February 18 from 10am-1pm.
