The Garioch Masters Darts returned to Inverurie after a three-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Six professional players featured in the 10th event with Adrian Lewis, Jose De Sousa, Daryl Gurney, John Henderson, Willie Borland and Paul Nicholson taking to the oche.

There was also a chance for two local competitors – Keith Robertson and Steve Buchan – to showcase their skills.

The contest was organised by Graeme Kennedy and Heather Miller of Inverurie Events/Promotions.

Organiser Heather Miller said: "The event was held at the Garioch Sports Centre in Inverurie with 400 in attendance.

"This was probably one of the best line-ups we've had. The professional darts players mixed with the crowd to make it a great event.

"After some excellent darts from both the professionals and local qualifiers, John Henderson was the winner on the night beating two-time world champion Adrian Lewis. Henderson received superb support from the audience.
