Posties make a special delivery to hospital staff

Generous postal workers paid a call to Inverurie Hospital for a special delivery thanks to their fundraising efforts.
Back in April the team decided that a fundraiser for the hospital would be a show of support for NHS staff.
As David Cruickshank Inverurie Delivery office manager explained: "In April I was looking at some fund-raising ideas to help raise money for our local hospital to help show some appreciation and recognition for the magnificent jobs that all staff was doing there through this Covid pandemic.
"I approached staff member Graham Watson as I know he does a lot of fund raising in his spare time and put forward the idea of some sort of super hero fancy dress day.
"Graham told me he had seen a guy on Facebook selling T-shirts that we could sell and raise money and so the idea was formed."
He continued: "I have been amazed by how my team at Inverurie got behind the idea and raised over £600 for the hospital which we used to buy an outside seating area for the hospital.
"The team at Inverurie always go above and beyond and are credit to Royal mail and the local community.
"During this pandemic they have really stepped it up gear, always looking out for each other and the community they serve I really am proud to work with them as they again have shown how amazing they really are.
Fundraiser Graham Watson added: "I sold t-shirts hoodies and medals to raise funds for the hospital and the arbour bench seat is what they asked for.
"With the rest of the cash we bought sweets and chocolates and and various other items for the staff to use to relax.
"I would like to thank everyone who bought the t-shirts and things and also those that just donated to a good cause.
"We all appreciate the hard work the staff at the hospital have done through these unprecedented times."
