Postcard club look over authors Bridge of Don recollections

Grampian Postcard club members enjoyed vivid and nostalgic glimpses of Bridge of Don thanks to a presentation by Gordon Pirie, author of his recently published book Bygone Bridge of Don at this month's meeting at the Garioch Community Centre in Inverurie.

An avid collector of vintage postcards and photographs he has woven them into a fascinating archive of Bridge of Don and its development over the years.

Also on the agenda were plans for a forthcoming Postcard Fair to be held at the Garioch Heritage Centre on Saturday March 7.

Now in its fifth year the fair attracts top collectors and dealers from all over Scotland.
