Turriff Post Office recognised for going the Extra Mile

The dedication of Turriff Post Office's staff has not gone unnoticed.
The team recently received a number of awards, including an Extra Mile Award, Customer Award and Community Award.
Customers were invited to complete a survey to help Post Office learn more about their customers' experiences in local branches, and the Turriff customers were quick to sing the praises of the friendly and helpful staff.
Some of the comments included "nothing is ever too much for them", "the servers are always friendly", "[she] made the experience very easy and made me feel reassured", "really helpful staff", "couldn't have been more helpful" and "all of the ladies who are at the desk at this branch are exemplary....they really are a shining example of how customer interaction should be".
This incredible feedback saw the branch be presented with a Community Award and Customer Award in recognition of their hard work not only during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic but throughout the year.
Through the survey one customer also shared their experience of Post Office staff guiding them through their first Post Office banking experience after being turned away from a local bank branch.
They explained: "The staff on the counter are always friendly and welcoming which makes a difference especially with everything going on just now.
"They helped me with paying money into my account when I'd been turned away from my bank.
"I'll definitely use them again and I've started telling everyone how good the service is - it's much appreciated."
This story caught the attention of Post Office, and saw the Turriff branch awarded an Extra Mile Award for May 2020.
Thanking everybody for their positive feedback in the survey, the staff at Turriff Post Office took to social media to say: "A massive thank you to everyone that took the time to complete the online survey and give us some feedback.
"Due to the feedback that you've given us we've been given some awards for our efforts to help support our customers and community.
"It's a fantastic boost to team morale especially during this really busy time."
